Rules & Regulations
ELIGIBILITY: You must be 21 years or older to purchase a raffle entry. All federal state and local laws and regulations apply. Raffle tickets are nontransferable and non-refundable: all ticket sales are final.
RAFFLE TICKET PURCHASES ChildSafe and its agents, Board, volunteers, partners, employees or members assume no liability for lost, late,
misdirected, mutilated, illegible, or undelivered entries. Entries received without proper payment will be deemed invalid and shall be immediately disqualified. If at least 100 tickets are not sold by 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2010, ChildSafe reserves the right to cancel the raffle and refund all ticket purchases.
DRAWINGS: A maximum of 400 tickets will be sold for this raffle. Ticket prices are one (1) ticket for Twenty-Five and No/100 Dollars USD($25.00) or $40 in Heart Bucks (from the Art from the Heart event on April 27th). The Grand Prize draw date is Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 9:00P.M. (CST). Tickets can be purchased until 8:45 P.M. (CST) April 27, 2010 or until tickets are sold out, whichever comes first. All purchases of tickets are non-refundable. In this raffle only one ticket will win and there is no possibility of a tie. All references to time apply to Central Standard Time.
ODDS: A maximum of 400 tickets will be sold. The chances of winning are based upon the number of tickets actually sold.
GRAND PRIZE: The winner of the Grand Prize will receive a 4 Night/5 Day stay in a luxury condo in Destin, Florida. Travel not included. There will be no cash/change or refunds offered to winner. The trip is dependent on mutually agreeable dates between the winner and the property owner. The winner will be solely responsible for any income taxes, if any, generated because of his/her winning this raffle.
CONTINGENCY ON RAFFLE OCCURING: If fewer than 100 tickets are sold, ChildSafe reserves the right to cancel the raffle and refund all
ticket purchases.
NOTIFICATION OF WINNER: Winner need not be present to win. Winner will be notified in writing via Registered Mail of requisite procedure to claim prize. Winning entrant may have up to April 27, 2011 to finalize the process of acquiring the Grand Prize. Winning entrant’s name and location by city or town and photo may be printed in select media and at www.childsafe-sa.org. If selected winning entrant is unable to be contacted or located after a period of six (6) months from the draw date, the prize will be donated to ChildSafe. One (1) attempt will be made to contact the winning entrant via Registered Mail at the address provided by the entry purchaser and two (2) attempts by phone.
TAXES AND IRS RULES: Winner is responsible for any and all federal, state and local income or excise taxes, fees, assessments and like charges associated with the prize. Winner will be responsible for retrieval of their prize. The value of your winnings is considered taxable income. Please consult your financial advisor to discuss any impact on your personal taxable income. Government rules regarding withholding can change without notice. ChildSafe’s 2010 raffle will follow IRS rules in effect at the time the prize is awarded.
WAIVER/LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Entrants, by participating (and winners by accepting the prize) release ChildSafe, volunteers, partners, employees and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to participation in the promotion and possession or use of the prize awarded. Entrants will not hold ChildSafe responsible or liable for any or all accidents, theft or damages resulting by their participation in this event. By purchasing a ticket, the entrant acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these rules and regulations.
RELEASE: Entrants, by participating, agree to allow ChildSafe to use their names, photos and statements in promotional material. ChildSafe will not share other personal information from entries with other organizations.
