Public Education

About Our Public Education Program

Child sexual abuse has had a pervasive impact on our community, as proven by the epidemic proportions of substance abuse, juvenile delinquency, and teen pregnancy. Our public education program exists to increase community knowledge on the facts of child sexual abuse, raise general awareness, and give invaluable information on child abuse prevention efforts. The education team also provides resource information on our medical, counseling, and other client services and schedules basic presentations customized to meet
the needs of:

  • Parents/Guardians
  • Students of all ages
  • Business Groups
  • Organizations
  • Church Groups (for the Child Sexual Abuse Seminar for Religious Organizations, see below)

Kids N Court Information

Offered by the District Attorney’s Office in collaboration with ChildSafe’s education team, Kids in Court is a program that assists young victims of sexual abuse through court proceedings. It is offered to children and their families who are testifying in trials concerning prosecution of the alleged offender.

Agency Tours

Agency tours are available on an individual or group basis. We welcome the business community, non-profits, college students, and anyone interested in learning more about our agency and its mission.
