Current Opening: MEP Intake Specialist
Status: Full-Time Exempt
Reports to: Director of Special Projects
ChildSafe, a leader in the field of trauma treatment and services for children and families in Bexar County, is seeking a Multi-disciplinary Enhancement Program Intake Specialist. Under the supervision of the Director of Special Projects, and in coordination with the Multi-disciplinary Team, the Intake Specialist is responsible for the receipt, review and referral of Intake Reports from DFPS Statewide Intake. Specific job duties include, but are not limited to: receive and conduct a preliminary review of Statewide Intakes on daily basis (received via email and/or fax); enter report/notification information on Intake Log/Spread Sheet or other documentation developed in procedures such as agency database; identify Reports/Notifications that clearly align with CAC case criteria (as per MDT Working Protocols); and initiate process for more in-depth review of reports/notifications that may align with CAC case criteria (as per MDT Working Protocols) but in need of further assessment to determine next steps.
Success in this position requires a high degree of organization and the ability to multi-task in a high energy environment. Must be comfortable using a computer and entering data; have excellent oral and written communication skills; possesses a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology or a related field; four years of similar work experience may be substituted for degree; advanced training in crisis management preferred; experience with diverse cultures, languages, and situations; ability to organize a variety of tasks and deal with a variety of people; possess proficient computer skills; bilingual (Spanish/English) abilities highly desirable. Must have clear criminal background check and TDFPS abuse registry check.
