This workshop will explore the impact of autism on attachment and the clinical significance of individual differences in the child on the child’s ability to relate and to feel safe in the context of primary caregiving relationships. Additionally, we will explore trauma in autism, influenced by both nature and nurture, and techniques and strategies that can support mitigation of the trauma and can enable the achievement of healthier developmental trajectories for families.
