Post –Traumatic Stress Disorder & Child Traumatic Stress

May is national trauma awareness month in effort to recognize the critical need for trauma awareness. One in 4 children will experience a traumatic event during their childhood. As the only Children’s Advocacy Center in Bexar County, we provide expert care and specialized services to children and adolescents who have been traumatized by abuse, neglect, or sexual abuse.
The following online training will be offered in observance of trauma awareness month:

Friday, May 7, 2021 from 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Training which provides information on the different types of trauma and the effects of child traumatic stress on development. Participants will be able to identify behavior responses to trauma. In addition, this training will provide helpful tips when assisting a child in crisis.
