ChildSafe Volunteer Opportunities
Join us in making a difference for children and families healing from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. ChildSafe offers a variety of ways to get involved—whether by volunteering your time at special events, organizing a donation drive, or supporting our programs with much-needed supplies and contributions. Together, we can create a safer, brighter future for every child in our community.
ChildSafe Volunteer Policy
ChildSafe, the safety and well-being of the children and families we serve is our highest priority. Because our work involves supporting children who have experienced abuse and neglect, we follow strict standards set by the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Texas (CACTX) to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Volunteer for our Winter Wonders Workshop
Winter Wonders Workshop brings hope and celebration to families navigating difficult times during the holidays. Volunteers help create a cheerful, shop-like atmosphere where caregivers can choose meaningful gifts for the children in their lives. From welcoming guests and guiding them through the gift selection process to wrapping presents with care, volunteers ensure each family feels supported and respected. Your time and kindness will help brighten the season for children who deserve to feel special, seen, and loved.
The deadline to sign-up is December 1, 2025

Important Update:
We have updated our donation policy—clothing and stuffed animal donations must now be new to ensure the highest quality of care and support for the children and families we serve.
Policy for Volunteers with Client Interaction
For any volunteer opportunities that take place on our campus while clients are present or at events involving direct contact
with clients, volunteers are required to:
- Complete a Volunteer Application (provided by ChildSafe staff during the sign-up process).
- Participate in a phone interview with a ChildSafe staff member.
- Undergo a background check facilitated by ChildSafe at no cost to the volunteer.
The background check can take up to 2 weeks to process and must be renewed every two years to remain active. These steps are essential to protect the privacy, dignity, and safety of the children and families we serve.
We deeply appreciate our volunteers and thank you for helping us uphold these important standards while making a lasting impact in the lives of those who need it most.
